How a 7 seater airport collection works
You give us the flight number; everything else follows from it — the collection time, the terminal, and where the chauffeur stands.
Before the day
The flight number is the only detail that really matters. From it we know the terminal, the scheduled landing and the likely baggage reclaim time. We also ask for the passenger and large case count, because that decides the vehicle and it is the one thing that cannot be fixed on the day.
On the day
The inbound flight is tracked from the moment it leaves its origin. If it is two hours late, the chauffeur arrives two hours later. If it lands forty minutes early, he is repositioned. You do not need to call anyone, and nobody starts charging you for a delay that was never yours.
At arrivals
Your chauffeur waits inside the terminal at the arrivals barrier with a name board, having already parked and paid for the parking out of the fare you agreed. He takes the luggage. That is the practical difference between a chauffeur service and a minicab, and it is most of what the fare buys.
The question to settle before you book
Seven passengers and seven large suitcases will not fit in a V-Class. Airport transfers are where this goes wrong most often, because it only becomes obvious in the car park. See the measured figures on luggage capacity, or send us the case count and we will confirm the vehicle.
Departures: how far ahead to be collected
Tell us the check-in time you want to hit rather than the flight time, and we work backwards from it.
London airport journey times vary far more by hour than by distance. A run to Heathrow that takes 45 minutes at 11am can take 80 at 8am. Rather than applying a flat estimate, we build the collection time from the route, the hour and the terminal.
As a rough guide, allow three hours before a long-haul departure and two before a short-haul one, then add the journey on top.
Meet and greet, explained
"Meet and greet" is used loosely in this industry. Some firms mean a text message when you land and a walk to a short-stay car park. We mean the chauffeur standing inside the arrivals hall with a board carrying your name, with the parking already paid.
If you would rather be collected kerbside, which is sometimes quicker at quieter terminals, say so when you book and it is arranged.
Cruise terminals and private aviation
Fixed fares to the Southampton and Dover cruise terminals, which are almost always the heaviest luggage jobs we handle — a fortnight's packing plus formal wear, for six or seven passengers. The case count matters more here than anywhere else.
Farnborough, Biggin Hill and the Heathrow and Luton private aviation terminals are quoted on request, with FBO access arranged in advance.
Long-distance airport runs
Fixed fares from London to Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and Edinburgh airports, and the reverse. On journeys of that length the difference between an executive people carrier and a minibus with bench seating stops being a matter of taste.

Inside the arrivals hall at the barrier, holding a name board, having already parked. Not a phone call from a layby. If you would prefer a kerbside pickup, say so when you book.
The inbound flight is monitored from departure and the collection time moves to the actual landing. There is no delay surcharge and you pay the fare you agreed.

The waiting allowance is stated on your quote and runs from the actual landing time, not the scheduled one. Beyond it, waiting is charged at the hourly rate in fifteen minute blocks.
